Beverly J. Rogers
Ms. Rogers has been instructor, owner and director of Beverly Rogers Academy of Dance for 35 years as of Fall 2008. Her dance companies have won regional and national championship awards since 1985. Many students are chosen to attend Kentucky Governor's School for the Arts Summer Program. Her students have performed live on NBCs Today Show, and were invited to perform in 1991 in The Russian Festival of the Performing Arts. Several have attained professional teaching and performing careers. (Where are they now?)
The Academy's success throughout the years is a direct result of Ms. Rogers' desire to inspire each student with the joy of dance. This inspiration is enhanced by Ms. Rogers' continued efforts to bring in top choreographers in the country. These choreographers work exclusively with the leading competition schools in the nation and entertainers such as Madonna and Janet Jackson, and include the famed choreographer and judge of TV's So You Think You Can Dance, Mia Michaels. Beverly has a great passion for dance and teaching children. Her philosophy has always been to develop dancers with a strong functional technique that gives a long career free of injury so her dancers can reach for the stars. She holds a BFA in dance from Stephens College in Columbia, MO and an MA in dance from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH. She is also a member of Dance Educators of America.

Because of her abilities she was immediately noticed by the most technically demanding and innovative choreographers of our time, performing at some of the most prestigious venues in the world; Carnegie Hall, The Joyce Theatre and The Danny Kaye Playhouse–an experience most dancers can only dream of having.
Mrs. Foresman began teaching and directing 18 years ago. She is excited to be here in Paducah working with her friend and colleague Beverly Rogers and is inspired to bring the best she has to offer to the future stars at the Beverly Rogers Academy of Dance.
